Christmas Tree Recycling

Redmond Christmas Tree Recycling Information:

Boy Scout Troop 27 will be picking up Christmas trees for recycling in Redmond, Terrebonne, and Eagle Crest on December 31 and January 7. Place trees at the edge of the curb or a location that is visible from the road by 9:00 a.m.

Residents in Eagle Crest, Terrebonne and outside the Redmond City limits please call 541-385-3989 to provide a pick up address. All other areas, no reservations required. The phone line will be activated after December 1.

Sisters Christmas Tree Recycling Information:

Boy Scouts Troop 139 will be collecting Christmas trees for recycling December 31–January 1 and January 7-8. For more information please call 541-385-2640 and leave your name, telephone number and a message.

Trees will be recycled so please have trees cleaned of all lights, decorations and tinsel.

A tax-deductible donation of $5.00 is appreciated. A check is preferred and should be made payable to “Boy Scouts of America”. Place your donation in a plastic bag and securely attach it to your tree with a rubber band. Proceeds go to support Redmond & Sisters Boy Scout troop activities throughout the year.

For customers with curbside yard debris service, you can recycle your Christmas tree in your yard debris cart. Cut the tree down to 3 or 4 smaller pieces and put it in your yard debris cart.

At no charge, Negus Transfer Station in Redmond, Northwest Transfer Station located on Fryrear Road and Sisters Recycle Center will take Christmas trees through January 31.

City of Redmond - Yard Debris Collection Schedule


December & January Collection Schedule:

High Country Disposal's city of Redmond yard debris customers will be on-call for yard debris service for the months of December 2011 & January 2012.

Customers can contact High Country Disposal with up to two collections per month, collections will be on Friday. The yard debris cart can be used for your Christmas tree, pine needles, and raw fruits & vegetables.

Yard debris every-other-week collection schedule will resume February 2012. For more information contact High Country Disposal at 541.548.4984.

Holiday Collection Schedule

High Country Disposal collects on all holidays except for Christmas Day and New Years Day. This year, Christmas Day and New Years Day both fall on Sunday which means there will be no interruption in your garbage & recycling collection schedule.

Please have your carts out by 6:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. within the City of Sisters) on your collection day.

High Country Disposal office will be closed December 26, 2011 and January 2, 2012.

Successful Fall Cleanup Event for City of Sisters Residents

This year's fall cleanup event for City of Sisters residents was the biggest year yet. High Country Disposal collected approximately 712 yards of yard debris, 10 tons of miscellaneous household waste and 10 appliances.

High Country Disposal provides two free semi-annual cleanup events in the spring and fall for residents within the City of Sisters. "These are great community events and we continue to see them grow year after year", says Brad Bailey, President High Country Disposal.

Thanksgiving Day Collection Schedule

On Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011, High Country Disposal's collection schedule will operate as usual. Please have your carts out by 6:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

High Country Disposal's office will be closed on Thanksgiving and will reopen on Friday, November 25 at 8:00 a.m.
