Problems with Plastic Bags in Commingle Carts

It is very important that materials we put into the 95-gallon commingle carts are acceptable items for recycling.

For example, plastic such as garbage & grocery bags, saran wrap, and plastic wrap of any kind cannot go into the commingle cart. Although plastic grocery bags are recyclable, they cannot go into the commingle stream. The grocery bags and other plastic film listed above cannot be separated out and otherwise contaminate the other commingle material.

Plastic grocery bags can be recycled at participating grocery stores. Download a Recycling Preparatin Guide on High Country Disposal's website for a list of acceptable an unacceptable items.
