New Changes in Electronic Recycling

Effective January 1, 2009, residents can bring their computers, laptops, monitors and televisions to Negus Transfer in Redmond an d recycle these electronics at no charge. All brands of computers, monitors and TV's are accepted for free recycling.

Also at Negus Transfer Station , all computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, speakers and appliances can also be recycled at no charge.

This statewide program was developed to help lessen the amount of electronic waste goin in the landfill. As of January 1, 2010 in Oregon all computers, monitors and televisions will no longer be accepted for disposal in the landfill.

Deschutes Recycling located at Knott Landfill in Bend is also accepting up to seven computers, laptops, monitors and TV's per visit at no charge. Computer peripherals and appliances will continue to be subject to a charge.
